I liked pretty much everything about this hotel: location, staff, room, comfort, parking, food, amazing pool. I didn't want to leave :-)

Limited menu for young children. Although our room was non-smoking I think it had been smoked in before, so there was always a very slight smoky smell, not too bad though. This place was expensive but I still really enjoyed our stay here.

The room had a comfy bed, a nice sofa, and a balcony with views of the snow-capped mountains. The spa facilities were fantastic, with an indoor pool, several saunas, and a relaxing lounge area. Breakfast was delicious with freshly made eggs, and the dinner menu featured really good gourmet meals. The staff was really friendly and helpful!

I adored the charming alpine decor and the spacious common areas which were easily accessible. The cozy lounge with its inviting fireplace was particularly good.

The staff were completely accommodating. They helped us to and from the train station whenever we needed to go, even very early on the morning we needed to catch our flight out of Switzerland. Everything was cozy and relaxing. I loved that they provided tea and cakes each evening. They create a very nice 'home away from home' environment.

The amenities need more effective advertising!!! Smaller rooms felt cramped for the price. Service recovery from management when issues arise could use attention. Having more language support would also enhance the experience!!!

my only complaint was the slippery floor in the wellness area. the breakfast buffet was impressive with so many options. loved the outdoor jacuzzi too! the hiking trails right from the hotel were just amazing!

Loved the cozy lounge with its inviting fireplace, a great spot to unwind. The Ambiance Double Room felt spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly, particularly towards my dog, a nice touch. The dinner menu offered exquisite dishes. I especially enjoyed the pasta. The breakfast buffet didn't impress me. It lacked variety, especially with veggie-friendly options. The staff at times seemed overwhelmed during busy meal services, leading to slow service. I noticed issues like missing towels in the spa area, and the fitness area needed more equipment attention. A door hinge needed fixing too. The language barrier with some staff made communication tricky at times. I'd love to see more attention to these small details. A good stay despite the bumps.

It was just a strong match for a fleeting pause in Kandersteg with value for money. The winter garden dining experience had a lovely seat, despite the dead flies around. Make sure to confirm restaurant hours in advance to avoid surprises.
